BECOME A PERSON OF VALUE: You Are Already Enough – You Just Haven’t Met Yourself Yet.

You Are Already Enough – You Just Haven’t Met Yourself Yet A powerful message from Evariste N.  , the voice of purpose-driven living. Let me start with a question that shook me to the core years ago: " What would the world have lost if you were never born ? " It’s not just a question. It’s a mirror. It forces us to face the raw, unanswered truth about who we are, what we carry within us, and what this world is still waiting for us to release. This is not a blog for everyone. This is for the dreamers who feel stuck. For the gifted who’ve been silenced. For the young hearts that feel too old from carrying pain. For the survivors who are ready to become builders. It’s for you. Why Becoming a Person of Value Matters More Than Becoming a Success In today’s world, we’re often taught to chase success, collect degrees, earn titles, get followers, and prove ourselves to people who don’t even know our names. But I’ve come to a shocking yet liberating truth: Success without value is li...

Why I Choose Character Over Charisma

Why I Choose Character Over Charisma By Nsengiyumva Evariste, Student of Public Administration and Governance, University of Rwanda In my journey as a young leader and student of Public Administration and Governance at the University of Rwanda, I’ve come to a powerful realization—one that burns deeply in my heart and directs my daily walk: True leadership isn’t measured by how many people listen to you. It’s measured by how you live when no one is watching. As someone born and raised in a humble village, with nothing but dreams, discipline, and desire, I’ve watched how easily the world celebrates charisma—those with sweet words, shiny stages, and momentary fame. But in all honesty, charisma may attract a crowd, but only character keeps them. Character Is the Currency of Real Leadership As a future public servant, I’ve come to understand this through both observation and self-discipline: Your words mean nothing if your life contradicts them. A degree may get you a seat at the table, but...

When the Door Closed Without a Sound.

_ EVARISTE N There was no goodbye. No heartbreak. No rejection. Just a gentle silence that whispered—"Not now." Yesterday, I met someone. A girl who was kind, humble, helpful—the kind of presence that makes the day feel a little warmer. We worked side by side, spoke casually, laughed lightly. There was a connection. At least, I felt it. Maybe it was too early to tell, or maybe love—or a crush—was idealizing the moment for me. But I told myself: “Try. Because wondering forever is heavier than a respectful ‘no.’” So, I opened my heart, gently and respectfully, with no pressure. She responded kindly. But before anything could grow… today arrived with a twist. The Sudden Twist I got the news. The position I was filling was no longer mine. someone else returned to claim it. Suddenly, my access to her, my chance to build something meaningful in the natural flow of daily presence, was gone. No argument. No second chance. Just a door closing softly behind me. Emotions vs. Wisdom I wo...

The Empty Pot and the Power of Books.

The Empty Pot and the Power of Books  A story about the invisible significance of reading by  Evariste N.   University of Rwanda  “I’ve read so many books,” the student said, “but nothing has changed in my life. I don’t see any results. In fact, I often forget what I’ve read before I even get a chance to apply it. So… is reading really that important?” The teacher looked into his eyes, smiled quietly, and said nothing. Instead, he stood up, left for a moment, and returned holding a very old, dirty pot—with a large hole at the bottom. He handed it to the student and calmly said: “Take this pot to the river and bring me some water.” The student was confused. First, his question hadn’t been answered. And now this strange task? He looked at the pot. The hole was big. Bringing water with this? Impossible. But the teacher was serious. His voice was firm. “Go now. Bring water.” The student, though puzzled, obeyed. He walked to the river and filled the pot. But af...

Character manifestation.

"Conviction is proven through testing. A man from the Bahamas once said, 'You can't believe in your character until it's tested.' I now understand this deeply and would emphasize it this way: Sometimes we say, 'Oh, I know myself.' Yes, you may know yourself — but only in normal situations, not when you're under pressure or when everything around you challenges your values. If you think you truly know who you are, it might be that wisdom is knocking at your door — but you’ve refused to open."
